Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using PettyCare (the “Service”), operated by Buildita (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PettyCare is a pet health record-keeping application that allows Philippine pet owners to track their pets' vaccinations, medications, vet visits, allergies, and weight; receive AI-assisted symptom triage suggestions; and find licensed veterinarians and clinics. PettyCare is a record-keeping and informational tool only.

3. Not Veterinary Medicine

In accordance with the Philippine Veterinary Medicine Act (RA 9268), PettyCare does not provide veterinary diagnosis, prescribe treatment, or otherwise practice veterinary medicine. The AI Symptom Checker is a general triage tool that offers informational guidance only (e.g. “Monitor at home,” “See a vet soon,” or “See a vet immediately”) and does not constitute a veterinary diagnosis. You should always consult a licensed veterinarian for any health concerns regarding your pet, and seek emergency veterinary care immediately in urgent situations.

4. User Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information about yourself and your pets
• Keep your account credentials confidential and secure
• Use the Service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial pet health tracking
• Not rely on the AI Symptom Checker as a substitute for professional veterinary care
• Verify veterinarian and clinic details independently before relying on them for emergencies

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload false, misleading, or another person's pet/medical information without authorization
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Use the Service to harass, defraud, or harm any person or animal
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service's operation

6. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or engage in conduct that we determine, in our reasonable discretion, is harmful to other users or the Service.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the AI Symptom Checker's output will be accurate or complete. Veterinarian and clinic listings are provided for convenience; we encourage you to independently verify a veterinarian's PRC license via online.prc.gov.ph.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buildita and PettyCare shall not be liable for any injury, illness, or death of any pet, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on the AI Symptom Checker or any vet/clinic information listed. We are not veterinarians and do not assume liability for veterinary outcomes.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Philippines.
